ЭПИФАНИЯ В РАССКАЗАХ КЭТРИН МЭНСФИЛД
Аннотация
Статья посвящена эпифании как литературному приему, характерному для коротких рассказов Кэтрин Мэнсфилд. Краткий обзор теоретических представлений об этом явлении в современной культуре и в эпоху модернизма позволяет выявить правомочность применения данного термина к тому, что сама писательница называла “blazing moments”. Подробно рассматриваются такие аспекты, как характер прозрения, которое является следствием момента эпифании, событие или предмет, его инициирующие, а также стилистическое оформление описания соответствующего момента, с примерами реализации в отдельных рассказах.
